M.Sc and Ph.D Scholarship opportunity for final year and passed student

This post is intended for final year undergraduates and postgraduates of the Engineering Faculty.

The AUN/SEED-Net Project with support from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) provides scholarships to highly qualified young teaching staff and graduating students/young graduates of Member Institutions in the following listed degrees.

Please note that it is not a compulsory commitment/requirement that successful applicants work as teaching staff of the university upon completion.

The FOUR scholarship offers are as follows:

1.Master's Degree Program
============ ========= ========= ========= ========= ========= ===
To pursue Master's degrees in the following nine engineering fields at respective Host Institutions in other countries:
· Chemical Engineering at De La Salle University (DLSU)
· Civil Engineering at Chulalongkorn University (CU)
· Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Chulalongkorn University (CU)
· Environmental Engineering at University of Philippines- Diliman (UP)
· Geological Engineering at Gadjah Mada University (UGM)
· Information and Communication Technology at King Mongkut's Institute of
Technology, Ladkrabang (KMITL)
· Manufacturing Engineering at University of Malaya (UM)
· Materials Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)
· Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at Institute of Technology Bandung
(ITB).

2. Doctoral Sandwich Program
  ============ ========= ========= ========= ========= ========= =====
To pursue doctoral degrees in the nine fields at respective Host Institutions as listed above in (1). During the three years of scholarships, students are eligible to make Short-Term Study in Japan once or twice for a total duration of eight (8) months maximum on condition that one of the two times must be less than one month.

3. Doctoral Degree Program in Singapore
  ============ ========= ========= ========= ========= ========= =========
Pursue direct doctoral degrees in engineering at National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).  The minimum requirement for admission is a bachelor's degree with honours (at least 2nd Class Upper) or its equivalent.  Bachelor-degree- holding applicants who fulfil the admission criteria will be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. program.

4. Doctoral Degree Program in Japan
  ============ ========= ========= ========= ========= ========= =========     To pursue doctoral degrees in engineering at one of the following Japanese
Supporting Universities: Hokkaido University, Keio University, Kyoto
University, Kyushu University, Tokai University, Tokyo Institute of Technology,
Toyohashi University of Technology, University of Tokyo, Shibaura Institute of
Technology, and Waseda University.
 

The fields of study that can be supported by the AUN/SEED-Net are as follows: Civil Engineering (CE), Chemical Engineering (ChE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Environmental Engineering (EnvE), Geological Engineering (GeoE), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Manufacturing
Engineering (ManuE), Materials Engineering (MatE), and Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering (ME/AE).
